From a very early age, Heath Painter was flinging arrows. “I can still remember my first bow”, says Heath, “My dad made it from a sapling we found together in the back wood lot, and after that first shot, I was hooked for life”. Growing up, Heath Painter honed his skills shooting, hunting, and fell in love with the outdoors. From 3D archery to chasing down anything that moved, he always had a bow in hand. Moving to Ohio in his mid teens, Heath ran across the huge monster bucks that call this state home and the quest begins. From then on, He knew he wanted to spend his life in pursuit…. seeking the adventures and challenges of hunting.
Host Heath Painter realized a whole new world when he began hunting with a camera. Wildlife photography quickly overtook him and he enrolled in classes at the Ohio Institute of Photography. After two years of study, he transferred to the North Carolina School of arts, Film Tech Program. Here, Heath developed his filmmaking skills. Heath has worked on motion picture films, large commercial shoots and all types of TV productions. In 1995, he left the corporate film world to start Wildeyes Productions. Through Wildeyes, Heath has worked as a freelance cameraman and field producer for top-rated outdoor shows on TNN, ESPN, The Men’s Channel and The Outdoor Channel. Heath Painter’s experience as a bow hunter and motion picture cameraman has made him one of the top-rated freelance field producers in the outdoor industry.
Now, Heath Painter is the host of one of the top rated outdoor TV shows out there….Game and Gear Adventures on the Men’s Channel. Not only is Heath chasing his dream, but he’s also taking his viewers on hunts of a lifetime and showing them how to put more heads on the wall.
