April 24 -- Spring Fling This family event focuses on getting kids back outdoors after a long winter. Recycling information, activities and crafts will tie into the Earth Day theme.

June 25/26 -- Kicking Bear 1 on 1 [SEE INFO] [MORE INFO] Friday 4pm – 4pm Saturday -- Contact Susan Jividen for more information In association with Ray Howell’s National Mentoring Program, attendees will participate in a 3-D archery course. Participants will be given instruction from world class archery professionals stressing safety and various aspects of this growing outdoor sport with the opportunity to win fantastic prizes. Pre-Registration is required. Attendees must be present for the safety meeting 9:00 A.M. Saturday to participate in the day's events. Visit www.kickingbear.org for additional Kicking Bear information and events. Parents/mentors must stay with their children during this event. Professionals will provide all equipment and instruction. As with all activities involving children – an extra set of eyes helping supervise and ensure safety, is definitely a good thing. Overnight camping is suggested – bring a tent and sleeping bag – for the whole experience. Recommended ages are between 6 and 16 – but no one is turned away. All ability levels are welcomed from the beginner that has never held a bow to seasoned youth

Deerassic Classic Week - Aug 1st - August 8th

August 1st -- Classic Camping Opens – no one under 18 Camping available for $15 per night beginning the Sunday before the Classic. This is primitive camping – no water or electric hook-ups available. Food, Ice, and Firewood will be available for purchase for campers throughout the week. Please no GLASS CONTAINERS. Please follow all current Emerald Ash Borer restrictions: www.ashalert.osu.edu

August 5th -- Campground Party Open to the public 18 years and older. FREE Thursday Concert. Join us for Deerassic's Redneck Olympics – featuring: Cornhole, Hillbilly Horseshoes, Wa-Shoos, and Ladder Golf.

Aug. 6th & 7th - Deerassic Classic 2010 and Outdoor Expo

Friday, August 6th - gates open at Noon. Admission $20, Food & Soft Drinks available - LoCash Cowboys play arount 8:00 pm, Pittsburgh based crowd-favorite Ruff Creek to follow. Admission is free on Friday with a $50 Big Buck Bonus Ticket.

Saturday, August 7th - gates open at 10:00 am. Admission $20, Food & Soft Drinks available Free Admission with a $100 Deerassic Classic ticket which also includes food & drink vouchers – Daryle Singletary performs after the raffle; The Double Barrel Tour featuring: Andy Griggs and Rhett Akins will finish off the evening.

October 16th, 23rd, and 30th -- Petrified Forest Deerassic Park’s unique twist on a Haunted Trail – not geared for children under 14. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. $5 admission. Dusk - ? Please call for details. (740) 435-3335
